It is probably the most anticipated President’s Day in history.

The 2020 season, so ravaged and curtailed by the dreaded Coronovirus, will be brought to its close at Loperwood Park on Saturday 12th September with a game where Steve Brandes’ President’s Legends XI take on a Calmore Sports XI and all of the stops have been pulled out to make it an occasion to remember on the playing front.

Former club skipper Steve has called on six of his first XI captaincy successors amongst his 13 man squad which can boast 1,332 first XI caps, 22,435 runs, 114 fifty plus scores, 878 wickets and 57 four-wicket hauls to their names.

Quite some numbers there to prove the tag of ‘Legends’ has not been used lightly.

Mark Lavelle will name his XI in due course but will be fielding as strong an XI as possible to pit themselves against the following bounty of the great and good of Calmore past.
