Calmore Sports finally surrendered their unbeaten record in an unusual match of tumbling wickets, losing by 56 runs at Hursley Park on Saturday, despite Mark Lavelle's outstanding spell of bowling.
Calmore Sports made it two wins out of two in the Southern Electric Premier League Division 2 with an outstanding 14-run win over another of the heavily fancied teams in the league, newcomers Basingstoke and North Hampshire at Loperwood Park.
Calmore Sports got their Division Two campaign off to a storming start with a maximum points victory over Tichborne Park on Saturday, courtesy of an outstanding innings by 15-year-old debutant Ben Johns.
Calmore Sports are very pleased to have secured the signing of Western Australian slow left-arm spin bowler and middle-order batsman Elijah Turriff-Smith as their overseas player for the 2013 season.
