After a highly successful summer, Calmore Sports accepted an invitation to participate in the W10 indoor cricket league for the first time. We entered one team into the competition, with a collective total of 15 players playing across the three festivals.
Calmore Sports qualified for the Plate Day, held on March 3, where the ladies snuck through a tough group consisting of Hythe and Dibden and Gosport Borough to reach the Plate Final.
We fell at the final hurdle against a strong St. Cross Symondians team in a low scoring game, but should feel immensely proud of their achievements in a format of the game that they have not played before.
A big thank you to all of our players for getting involved, as well as Serious Cricket and the Hampshire Cricket Board for hosting and running the events.
Attentions now turn to the summer festivals, with dates for outdoor training likely to begin some time in April (dates to be confirmed). Players of all ages and abilities are welcome to come and join us!
Congratulations to the Ladies, who in order in the team picture are:

FRONT ROW: Amelia Vann, Danni Moore, Alana Bubb
