Calmore Sports Club received a bit of good news last night from the Hampshire Cricket League, informing us that the 3rd XI will be promoted from Hampshire Regional Division 2 North-West to Regional Division 1.

Sam Vidler’s side finished in sixth place last season with seven wins and five defeats from their 12 played games but their average of 15.75 was the highest of the teams not yet promoted from Regional 2 NW and enough for league secretary Andy Stevenson to offer the 3s the place, due to a very late withdrawal from a side from a higher division.

After the 1st XI won Southern Premier League Division 1, it shows just how strong the club is that the 3rd XI’s record was good enough for them to take a place at the next level for 2018.  Congratulations to all involved in the 3s!
