Ahead of the big day on Sunday, RV had a sit down with Mike West, the veteran of the Calmore Sports side that will take the field at Lord’s in the Final of the Voneus National Village Cup.

In this chat, we talk about his career, playing his cricket around and about the New Forest, playing alongside international and county players at Lymington and Bashley and his unprecedented 11 seasons with Calmore Sports – a place he called ‘home’.

And we also broach the subject of whether Lord’s will be the cherry on the cake of his fantastic career …..
