The weather tried its best to ruin it but the Calmore Sports spirit shone through as over 200 people came to pull the curtain down on the 2026 cricket season with another hugely successful Club President’s Day and Presentation Evening at Loperwood Park.

Once again, it was a joy to see the ground packed with players young and old and families across the age groups coming together in a celebration of cricket, starting with two exhibition matches combining the junior teams, all of who showcased their skilled honed from Under 9s to Under 17s and into the Southern Stars, the clubs women’s team alongside Trojans CC.

With the Under 11s winning their league unbeaten, the Under 15 Black side roaring to success in their league and the Under 17s clinching the U17 Tier 1 West title with five wins from five, it was a hugely successful year for the junior teams with three others coming in runners-up in their respective tables.

Many congratulations to all of the award winners, who were recognised for their outstanding achievements across the season in the junior teams – they are all highlighted below.

Well done to all involved, to the players, the parents and guardians, the coaches and managers, the volunteers, scorers and umpires and the club as a whole who have backed such a brilliant 2026 season.
