Callum Greasley’s Calmore Sports 3rd XI were presented with the Hampshire Cricket League Division 5 Central shield and plaque at the HCL Presentation Dinner and Awards evening at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday.

Fourteen of the players went to the event to collect their medals, many resplendant in their Calmore Sports Club blazers!

An ‘interesting’ event, which was described by many as ‘an absolute shambles’, took the gloss off the reason for the evening and that was to congratulate the efforts of the players and teams who had performed well across the summer.  It was a shame it degenerated as it did.

Skipper Greasley also received the Division batting award for most runs (although the trophy was not able to be located) while Paul Henry will be receiving two gongs – one for the most wickets in the division with 37 and also one for the most wickets across the whole of the Hampshire League.  He has the latter … if not yet the former!

Many congratulations to our boys and girl who represented the club with great class through the evening.
