Mike West became the 11th player to reach the milestone of 100 Southern League/Premier League appearances for Calmore Sports during Saturday’s nail-biting one-run win over OT & Romsey.

Westy, who joined the club in 2011 from Totton and Eling having previously played for Bashley (Rydal), Lymington and Bramshaw, joins the illustrious list of players to reach 100 caps for the club in the top flight of local cricket.

Coming in down the order, he has scored 893 runs in his 100 games (average 13.32) but it is his bowling record which stands out, taking 151 wickets at just 18.09 a piece, including six four-wicket hauls, the best of which 6-46 against local rivals Paultons in 2013.

The 39-year-old all-rounder was awarded a specially engraved glass by chairman Pete Lavelle before the game in Romsey to mark the occasion.
