Over 60 former and current Calmore Sports Club players, friends and families enjoyed a very good evening at Loperwood Park to celebrate the 2014 Annual Players Reunion on Friday evening.

The event, which was superbly organised by Graham Love, saw the attendees enjoy an excellent three-course meal before being royally entertained by speeches from club Chairman Pete Lavelle and the recently retired player and ex-captain Steve Brandes, who regaled his 37-year career with the club to the captivated audience, turning in a star performance full of laughs and tales of days gone by.

Once again, the former players at the event ages ranged from Vic Loveless, who is edging closer to 90 years of age down towards the more veteran element of the current playing fraternity, including Dave Johns, Keith Woodhall and Martin Donovan.

It was a superb event and the club thanks Graham and his loyal band of helpers for making it the regular success that it is.

And here are some pictures from the evening – taken by Richard Isaacs.
