It was another fantastic night at Loperwood Park on Friday evening as the 2017 Calmore Sports Club players reunion took place with over 60 faces from past and present all sharing their many stories.

Once again superbly organised by Graham Love and Lyn Stuttard, the evening was rounded off with an entertaining speech from former Mayor of Southampton and ex-Calmore Sports Club player Peter Wakeford, who regaled his memories of playing for the club, including taking 10 wickets in an innings against New Milton, as well as his feats as Mayor, where he cut the tape on the ‘new’ West Quay Shopping Centre in 2000.

A selection of pictures from the evening, taken by Richard Isaacs, are shown at the top of the article – just click on the header for the gallery.

It was a joy to see so many people at the club, reminiscing of days of yore, and remembering those who couldn’t be with us too.
